Receive Verbal Prescriptions (excluding controlled substances)
Perform accurate technical checks on new or existing prescriptions
Perform accurate technical checks on patient compliance packs
Coordinate prescription transfers
Provide instructions on operating medical devices
Provide medication information to patients that does not require application of therapeutic knowledge

Pharmacy Assistants:

Assist in dispensing medications under pharmacist supervision
Receive & Process prescription orders, as well as placing drug orders
Measure, count and package medications accurately
Provide excellent customer service, answering inquires & assisting customers in person or over the phone
Operate cash register and handle cash transactions
Maintain patient records & update relevant information
Coordinate & file insurance claims, submitting relevant documents for patient drug coverage
